{Lifestyle Portraiture} Sneak Peek - K Family Plays in the park | Naperville Family Photographer

Meet the K Family. They were winners of the Mini-Photoshoot Raffle at the Compass Open House in Feb 2011. So we scheduled a quick session at the park.

It was a workout - not just for me but also for mom and dad!. Little Mr. P wanted nothing to do with the camera. All his pictures had the look of 'Mom, here we are at the park and you want me to do what???..smile for the camera...no way!' :)...But his little brother, on the other hand, was quite the poser!...he smiled for me everytime I went near him with my camera. I guess that balances it out...lol!

This guy on the other hand - 'Here you go lady, one of my best smiles, so what if I dont have teeth!' :)

 Brothers! - the only way we could get them to be still!. I really like the pensive look in both of them.

All along mom and dad were running behind the kids - one on one. I finally got them to sit down and I asked mom and dad "So how long have you guys been married?..They cracked up and dad put his arm around mom!!!! - so what if we could not get the kids to laugh as well! :)

My favorite part of any session! - the un-posed, the un-prompted and un-staged pictures!!!

{Personal Expressions} Black and White on Tan - it rocks!

One lazy Saturday afternoon, mama and baby decided to have an impromtu photoshoot. I took the camera out, bribed the model with some treats and made our way to the "sun" room so as to use the most natural light possible and clicked away. As I was loading these on my computer, I decided to do a black and white theme instead...and am really pleased with the results!...what do you think?

When the session was over, we had to rest - and the coolest place in the house was the bathroom :)

{Personal Expressions} Swing into Spring - head on and at full gallop

We are into Spring - have been for several weeks now and everyday it gets warmer and stays brighter longer. Moods seem to cheer up and everyone seems to have a ton more energy than they did the day before!

We are relishing the warm weather with cycle rides, long walks along small streams, observing new beginings around us and playing outdoors. Here are some of the things you can catch us doing now that we are officially into Spring!

Walking along park paths and seeing "Memorable Jaunts" logo inspirations everywhere :)

Mama duck and her ducklings!

She captivated these two for a good 20 minutes with her squaking and chatting with her babies!!

Just something about bridges over streams that bring out the wanderlust!

Romping around and pretending to play fetch!!

Beautiful spring blooms! - totally unexpected and utterly delightful!

Mama cardinal who has her nest under our porch! - waiting for baby chirps with anticipate breadth!

Beautiful swans that have a majestic take off and landing patterns that puts even the best airlines to shame (at least in my opinion!).
